2. It is in the form of crystal or white crystalline powder, soluble in water.
3. Sodium pyrophosphate is widely used in food industry, as food quality improver, PH regulator, metal ion chelating agent, emulsifying agent, adhesive etc.
4. It is mainly used for meat and aquatic products processing, which can improve its water rentention property, keep meat fresh and prevent the fat spoilage.
5. This kind of food additive also can be used to make baking powder and cheese.
